Lengthen the "Confiance" Top

Lengthen the "Confiance" Top

The pattern is designed for someone who is 1.68m tall. So if you're much taller or much shorter, you'll need to lengthen or shorten it. But don't worry—it's a breeze!

Here, we're going to learn how to lengthen the pattern.

Lengthen the top

1) Cut out the front piece (piece #1) and back piece (piece #2 for Version A and #8 for Version B) along one of the double brown lines. It doesn’t matter whether you cut along the top line or the bottom one. The important thing is to cut along the same line on both the front and the back.

Let's take piece No. 8 as an example. Then, simply follow the same steps for the front.

After cutting, you'll end up with your back panel cut into two pieces: the top and the bottom.

1- Cut along the lines

2) Take a piece of paper. Tape it to the cutout at the bottom of the pattern.

3) Extend the straight line on your paper.

4) Measure x cm on your paper and draw a horizontal line, where x is the value you want to extend.

5) Tape the top of the pattern to the line you just drew, making sure the grain arrow lines up exactly.

6) Draw a straight line along the “fabric fold” side of the pattern. Then freehand the side curve.

7) Cut out.

Well, that's it—it's already over!

Easy, right? 😉
