What is the difficulty level of Majam sewing patterns?

We design patterns at five skill levels: Beginner, Easy, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert

The idea is to offer patterns that allow everyone to sew and have fun, depending on their skill level and the level of challenge they’re looking for at the moment. After all, you might be an expert seamstress who wants a quick and easy project—and conversely, there’s nothing stopping a beginner from taking on a major challenge!

For each pattern, the difficulty level will be clearly indicated on the product page.

How do I choose the right size for one of our patterns?

The golden rule is to always take your own measurements and refer to the size chart for the pattern you’re interested in. This is because size charts can sometimes vary depending on the specific pattern. Our patterns include two size ranges: either sizes 34 through 48 or sizes 46 through 58.

Also, when sewing, not all of your measurements are important, depending on the type of garment you’re making. With Majam patterns, we always include tips in our instruction booklets to help you choose the right size.

What do Majam patterns include?

Our sewing patterns are available in two formats: paper or PDF.

The kit includes a full-size black-and-white pattern sheet and a full-color sewing booklet. You can choose between sizes 34–48 or 46–58.

In the digital PDF version, all sizes (from 34 to 58) are available. The pattern consists of a .zip file that contains various files:

• The A0 pattern file in sizes 34–48 and 46–58 for printing at a print shop
• The A4 pattern file in sizes 34–48 and 46–58 for printing at home
• A Guide to Successful Printing

How detailed are the instructions in our sewing patterns?

Majam's hallmark is really that you'll be able to successfully sew your project.

Our instructional booklets are well-spaced, easy to read, and laid out to be as educational as possible!

The icing on the cake: all of our patterns come with video tutorials available on our YouTube channel.

What should I do if I'm taller or shorter than average?

Majam sewing patterns are designed for a standard height of 1.68 meters.

If you need to lengthen or shorten the pattern, there are lines on the pattern board to show you where to make your adjustments.

How do I know which fabric is right for the pattern I've chosen?

Each pattern is designed for a specific type of fabric. This information is provided both on the website when you purchase the pattern and in the instruction booklet.
