Many of you are eager to purchase the 2026 edition of the sewing advent calendar and enjoy the pleasure of discovering 24 sewing surprises in December, but you’d also like to know a little more about what’s inside.
So let's take a look back at last year's calendar, since it received a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from our customers, and the concept is the same this year.
Table of Contents
The Principle
More than just a calendar with windows to open, the Majam Advent calendar was designed as a game.
You'll discover surprise sewing projects, new finds in the fabric and craft section, patterns, kits—in short, everything you need for a month filled with creativity!
The calendar has three types of boxes; let's take a closer look at each one.
The "Fil Rouge" Boxes
These are the cells with a dotted red line.
To be opened little by little throughout the month, they contain different parts of a single project.
You're going to have to use your imagination to guess what surprise we've got in store for you!
Last year, in 2025, the Fil Rouge categories were as follows:
- a piece of green cotton velvet fabric
- a spool of matching thread
- a large gold metal zipper + a small cream-colored zipper.
- a piece of printed cotton fabric
- a piece of beige cotton webbing
- a banana clip + a beige loop
- The Banana Jam paper pattern
The "Projects" sections
These are sewing projects. The steps follow one after another so that in just a few days, you can sew a lovely surprise project.
There are several of them, and they're quick to sew so you can keep creating all through December!
