Bianca, the Boss
The Bianca sweater pattern is a great basic sewing project!Its cut is flattering for all body types. It features a round neckline, dropped shoulders, and is fastened on one side with five buttons.
With a few super-easy modifications, you'll be able to turn it into a super-cute sweater dress! And you'll get two patterns in one.
The Boss's Transformation
To turn the Bianca sweater into a dress, simply extend the side seams of the pattern to 35 cm using a ruler. You can draw this line directly on the fabric if you'd like.
35 cm is an average length for an extension. You can make it longer or shorter.
But don't forget our saying: "Sewing is like going to the hairdresser—it's better to cut it long and trim it later than to cut it too short!"
And that's it—you're done! From here on, all the sewing steps are the same. Now it's your turn!
Note: If you’re using our brushed sweater knit fabric to sew your sweater dress, keep in mind that it has a narrow width: 115 cm. Therefore, for all sizes, you’ll need to use the pattern layout for sizes 50–58.
