The pattern for the "Confiance" top has been released
You were the inspiration (a huge inspiration, in fact) for this pattern, based on your suggestions and recommendations!
It’s true that it can be intimidating to start sewing clothes, and the result—this top that looks like it came straight from a store—might also be a little daunting.
But appearances can sometimes be deceiving, and that’s certainly the case here. This top is an easy-to-sew pattern!
No zippers, no buttonholes, no sleeves—just straight stitches! You’ll just need to make sure everything is pinned securely and take your time while sewing. This isn’t a factory. Sewing time is our time to relax, so let’s not rush and let’s savor it.

The choice of fabric will also affect the difficulty level. In fact, if you use silk chiffon, this super-easy pattern will turn into a real hassle, but if you follow all the fabric recommendations carefully, everything will turn out fine.
When it comes to choosing fabric, we recommend following the instructions in the booklet, which suggest using heavy-drape fabrics. If you’re still a little hesitant about flowing fabrics, you can opt for lightweight cotton poplins, which are inexpensive and easy to work with—but of course, that means saying goodbye to that flowing drape!
2 possible versions
If you're just starting out and aren't confident in your skills, we recommend starting with Version A because the back is very simple. We also recommend using an invisible finish for the V-neck: if your seams aren't perfectly straight yet, it's best to avoid topstitching.
Then you'll be able to move on to Version B—with topstitching—with greater confidence!
In the photo below, we present Version B, featuring a lovely box pleat at the back and topstitching all around the V-neck.
