What's new at MounaSew? The Ocean Stripes collection got off to a great start, and we set ourselves a big challenge for the launch of this new collection: opening our first pop-up store.
We have to admit that it wasn't exactly a walk in the park, even though we absolutely LOVED opening our doors to you, showing you our world, and getting to know you.
To make this event happen, we had to completely revamp our entire setup. Until then, the warehouse and our offices were on the ground floor, and upstairs we had only the photo and break room, as well as storage for excess inventory.
Of course, we couldn’t just have you come in to a warehouse-like space, so we carried each roll of fabric upstairs one by one and rearranged the lower level to make it look nice for the event. It was physically demanding, and the idea of having to take our 300 fabric rolls back downstairs after the pop-up—only to bring them back up again for the next pop-up in a few months—just didn’t make sense.
After lengthy discussions and lots of sketches, we decided that the best solution for now was to expand our space. And as luck would have it, upstairs, behind our wall, there’s plenty of unused square meters!
After talking with our friendly landlord, we agreed to do some renovations and reclaim part of this empty floor.
So this summer, we’re going to expand our space, which will now be 120 m². It’ll be 120 m² of love, joy, sewing, and good cheer!
We’ll be able to make good use of the upper part of our space—which has gotten a little too cramped—and move the entire warehouse upstairs, setting up a well-organized system for preparing your orders. For those of you who’ve already ordered from us, you may have noticed that we like to pamper you, and that takes a little space and organization ^^.
And with all that, the venue will stay nice and clean so it’s ready—or almost ready XD—to welcome you at our upcoming events!

As for the number of pop-up stores per year, we won’t be able to do them as often as you’ve asked, but we’d like to gradually work our way up to four pop-up stores a year. But for now, we’re getting organized and trying to do things right, so we’ll start with two.
So this summer, for us, it’ll be all about renovations, preparing the fall-winter collection, and bringing to life a project that’s been close to Chris’s and my hearts since the very beginning of MounaSew.
