On our website, we offer fair prices all year round, so why does Majam still hold sales on our sewing patterns and kits? With discounts of up to 50% or even 70% at times?
We'll explain everything!
High-quality products
As you know, we're not big on sales at Majam.
We select all our products based on their quality, and the selling price is set as fairly as possible, taking into account the cost of the items, the value we add to them, our teams’ compensation, and, ultimately, the company’s long-term viability.
So why do we have a sale at Majam?
For us, the sales are a time of adjustment.
Collections (and seasons) come and go, and sometimes we end up buying too much of a fabric that we fell in love with, relative to the sales it generated. Some patterns are also really well-suited to one season and less so to the next.
So there is a discrepancy between the available inventory and your expectations.
We could, of course, wait until next year, but it’s also worth noting that our facilities have limited space, and even though summer has barely begun, we’re already working full steam ahead on the winter and holiday collections. That requires both space and budget.
So, at Majam, we take advantage of the sales season to offer discounts on products we have in excess stock or that we likely won't sell before the next season.
How can such discounts of up to 70% be explained?
Sales are a regulated period, and it’s the only time of year when we’re allowed to sell at a loss. And since inventory is such a significant cost in a business’s operations, there are times when we’d rather sell at a loss than keep fabric in stock.
By doing this, we're able to free up cash flow so we can bring you the next bestsellers!
In conclusion, sales aren't just about clearing out inventory— they're about planning for the future, and they offer you a great opportunity to buy quality products at low prices!
